Lets just say the past few days have been interesting. We have been through another week of treatment, both of us rest from our mini vacation in Portland. I have been doing a lot of service work for the staff and the other clients, which makes me happy and energized. We have been pulled up to the heights of joy with a letter from the insurance company stating that the district has decided to pay for Doug's IPT treatments, a first for the treatment center. Only to have the insurance company write and tell us that they were standing by their decision to not cover Doug's treatments. ARRgh!!! We are at this point just going to cash the checks if any more show up and if they don't we will appeal again. If we need to appeal and that doesn't go our way, we will have to start legal proceedings. But for tonight, we have enough food, enough money in the bank to pay for tomorrows treatments and all our pet are healthy. I am 49 pounds lighter and feel better than I have in a long time and Doug is making progress. Attitude of gratitude is all I can have right now.
