Things are looking up
Doug can smile and laugh, he can eat and we think his guts are back in shape. He gets his first chemo treatment in a week and a half today, we have our fingers crossed that it doesn't knock him all the way down again. I got 13 hours of sleep last night and feel much better, not completely on top of the world but definitely ready to do all the necessary tasks to get through the day. The biggest task of the day is dealing with the insurance company today, trying to see if they are actually going to reimburse us anything from our treatment costs which are up to about $32,000 right now. If we are lucky we will get about 15% of that back so Doug can continue treatment. There is no more money to borrow after 2 more weeks or so. So I have my work cut out for me. But the bills are paid for the month, the fridge is full, we both feel better and his treatment is working so I am not complaining, just commenting.

Glad to hear that things are looking up! The 13 hours of sleep will help a lot.
