Life goes on
We took the day off today, from treatment anyway. We took our cars to the dealership for oil changes, long overdue because of no time not dedicated to more important endeavors. Of course they found all sort of niggling little things that needed fixing with my vehicle- to the tune of almost $500.00! We demurred, saying that we would bring it back when we could afford the work. By the time we arrived back home from the trip, neither of us felt much like getting back in the car to travel for another 45 minutes to Mesa to start treatment so late in the day. I called the garage that I usually take my vehicle to and found out that i would save over $100.00 if I had them do the work, so off to the garage again to get the car taken care of while we weren't having to be in Mesa for the day. So we went out the bank to deposit more checks from the insurance company, checked out a couple of things in Walmart. I read for a little while, tried to nap and finally went to pick up the car and Franky. One of Doug's colleagues stopped by to visit and to drop off Doug's I-Pod on to which she had downloaded several audio books and some music. He enjoyed her visit as did I. Since then we have had a uneventful evening of TV watching, something we do way too much of as far as I am concerned, but it is how he gets relaxed enough to drift off through out the evening. All in all a very mundane day, but it was spent above ground and was pretty much pain free, so we have that going for us.
